We arrived in Bankok at about 5.30 in the morning having taken a mini bus from Puket back to Krabi and then a coach up to Bangkok just in time to scoop up our youngest sister Hannah from the airport. We had a bit of a nightmare in the fist leg of this journey as the bus driver that dropped us off took our only recipt of travel (having insisted that we would not need it) and left us at a busy travel shop where we were a) confused as to who actually worked there b)...

Well folks..Let me think what to say about phuket..in a word? SLEAZY! the beach here is overcrowded..we have had our first encouter with some lady boys and most of the western tourists we have seen are over 40..male..with a beer belly and a young Thai girl on their arm.. this wouldn't be so bad if we wern't being cracked onto by them in clubs..think they might be losing there sense of reality a wee bit out here! okay enough of my ranting about the ...

Were on Ko Phi Phi now and i managed to get us a cheep room (which apparently is good for this island) the room is fine but a bit difficult to cool down during the day. This place is sweet with little winding lanes for shopping/massages etc. There are a lot of diving shops here as i believe there are world famous diving areas locally, think we might go for 'Viking Divers' as hopefully there might be some light skinned people on board with mad hair that should ...

We have been in Ko Lanta for 4 days. This Island is very much under construction at the moment with mostly deserted/unspoilt beaches. I get the feeling they might be gearing this island up to be another Phi Phi (the majority of buildings under development were resorts/beach huts. The resort we have been staying at was at a beautiful location (right down the bottom of the island) called Baan phu lae. Unfortunatly they had a tendancy to rip you off a bit with the i...
