Last night we arrived late at the ranch that we are staying at for the next few days (6). We are in Redding to attend Bethel church where we will receive a variety of ministries... I'm not sure what to expect but I know that our family will be blessed no matter what!
The ranch is not what I thought it would be. California is in drought as much as western NSW and so it is dry and dusty. The owners have sold off most of their animals and their water supply is limited. But their guest house is lovely and comfortable and I am looking forward to relaxing a bit after the first few days of full on exploring!
I WILL NOT be exploring the outdoors here... We were advised that there are bears, mountain lions, bob cats, coyotes, scorpions and rattlesnakes within walking distance from the ranch...(one of my many fears is bears- I have nightmares about them even though I have never seen one up close!) I think I will stay in the air conditioned house until it's time to go to church- or shopping!
