Well, there isn't much to report from Battambang. It's a very small, French-looking town with limited cafes and bars - though the ones that are there are nice. And the normal crappy cheap hotels! Battambang itself can be 'explored' in a morning. The only things to see in Battambang are the French houses and the temples, but new ones. Sunday morning (very early), I set off for the boat ride to Battambang. After driving around Siem Reap in a mini bus for over an hour and the last stop being 10 feet from my hotel where I started an hour ago - we went to the pier/boat stop.
