hello everyone, so we finally made it to cambodia after hours of rox moaning and being sick every time the bus stopped.we got to our hotel and didnt even have time to take our bags to our room before someone was talking us into getting a guided tour of the temples. in the morning we meet our guide "Pissa" he was a very nice man,his birthday is the day before mine,we're both 28 but he couldn't belive it because i look so young and he looks about 35. We got in the tuk tuk and went to Angkor Wat temple which was really cool then to the one in the jungle as featured in the film Tomb Raider. Its absolutly chucked it down for a few hours everyday we've been here so alot of roads are flooded making it a bit of an uncomfortable ride because you cant see where the pot holes are. We must have seen about 20 temples in two days with Pissa bombarding us with facts and stories about the history of the kings and people that built the temples,in between him asking a million questions about what its like in England. On the third day we went out without the guide just the tuk tuk driver, he took us to see the floating village.Along the way the flood water got so deep on the road,the motorbike that was towing our tuk tuk broke down,i had to help push it for a few hundred metres in water up to my knees.We heard lots of quacking and were looking around for the ducks,then a moped went passed with over 50 live ducks tied on by their feet!We got it fixed and made it to the dock and took a boat down what is normally a road to the river,the boat man said its normally about 14m deep but at the moment its only 7m. both sides of the river there were floating houses and people living on boats,some even had tv's powered by car batteries. we bought 24 bottles of water and a multi pack of crisps and stopped at the school/orphanage,there was about 250 kids there,it was sad to see but they were all very happy. On the way back to the hotel we got a flat tyre. We get all the luck!
