Bangkok is coo.
Arrived at 5 am in the morning and split a cab with some german guys (Daniel and Stephan) to Khao San Rd. Ended up splitting a room with these guys as it was cheaper. Also didn't have to pay for the first night du to the 5am check in so was effectively paying 4 $ a night.
The day of the 6th i think it was ... consisted of temple looking, they really are massive and breathtaking these temples. Saw the Grand palace for free as it was the kings birthday yesterday. Saved 10$ score. Then saw the lying budda, lucky budda and the standing budda.
Me and the german boys allowed ourselves to be taken for a ride by the tuk tuk drivers. Went to some suit shops and other places. Was pretty cool going round so the driver gets his commission. Also got some coconut chips to bring home for you friends. :) They are so tasty.
After a big day we hooked into some beer chang and headed out to a ping pong show. LOL So funny. Totally degrading which isn't cool but it was funny.
Today the 7th, we sorted out all our moneys and travel stuff. I bought a ticket to Laos. I'm headed there tonight by sleeper train. Then we took in a harbour cruise in quite a dodgy manor. Swinging into a taxi boat from another one after climbing a fence.
We went to the floating markets... to be informed that they do not actually run past 10am so yeah we saw 3 people with boats. LOL. The shanties on the bank of the canal remind me of how lucky i am to be australian. Some people here are very poor.... but they still have fun and are happy. These people are all so happy ... they love life it is refreshing.
Spent 3 hours exploring china town and ate in the indian district of Bangkok. Some real indian food. It was tasty ...now i could sleep.
And that brings my to the end of my update. I hope all is well in Australia. :) Heard about the bush fires nr adelaide today, scary stuff.
