Due to the internet being slow here I will just post everything here. 8/12 - Vientiane Got a sleeper train from Bangkok and then crossed the freindship bridge into Laos. 12/12 - Pakse -> Si Phan Don Today I headed for Si Phan Don (The Four Thousand Islands) it is an area where the mekong forms a delta as an area where the mekong forms a delta as is crosses into cambodia. During the wet season the detla spreads out to a width of 14 km covering most of the islands. As the river subsides the islands are uncovered. There really are alot of the islands. 9-11/12 - Traveling the Bolevan Plateau This was the best experience.....hands down....awesome. I rented a scooter and had my first taste of kah fe Lao (Coffee) ......which i have bought and will make you all one when i'm back. We got geared up on our scooters (Scott decided to follow my lead for one day) I showed him how to change gears etc. Basic moto skills. Bought some straps to occy straps to tie down my pack. Loaded up on water ...good to go. Off to Patx...
