Jambo to all of you!
After 14 hours of sleep in the Karen Camp, Nairobi- in order to compensate the 40 hours of "non-sleep" - i finally crawled down from my room. Went to the bar and got a coffee: expected to be a real kenyan coffee, but it was just super milky powder coffee.
Looking left, looking right couldnt spot anybody to get in touch with ,so I just kept on reading the lonely planet guide and got some more sleep.
After some days of relaxing in the garden of the camp, i met some people, had some drinks, lots of fun. the camp was like my little home, with my super-room, with bathroom, tv aaaaand DVD player, aaaaand Lion and Sharks DVD's , a huge kingsize bed...with the hole in the mattress, which i turned into my nest, surrounded by a nice protecting mosquito net. i didn't get and mozzie-bites yet! that's a big thing while in Africa!
Then i found a nice company, which I never thought I would fine, to go to the Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Center! It was amazing...I got kissed by a giraffe, which has a 45 cm long tongue! it was a real fun day, which ended up playing "drunken -monopoly" and singing christams songs till 5 am.
About Nairobi, not much to say: located at 1890m altitude, doesn't have anything special to write about, just a city, but the people are always smiling and talking on the phone. they must have really good phone rates here. by the way...they've got Orange :)
So tomorrow we start the overland tour, heading to Tanzania, passing by Mt. Kili, and we plan to bushcamp, then going to the Serengeti! Can't wait! I am really excited about that!
Well, that's pretty much it for now!
miss you all!!!!
