After a lazy morning round the pool, we went on our desert safari. We were taken in 4 wheel drive Toyota land cruisers into the desert in convoy and then proceeded on a harem scarem ride in the dunes which showed off the Toyota's and driver's skills. Our flight to Dubai was on an A380 which is a wonderfully quiet and comfortable aircraft even in the back. There is a camera in the tail allowing you to watch the flight as if in the cockpit. The picture is of us landing at Dubai.

After the overnight flight we spent the morning and early afternoon by the hotel pool enjoying the warm sunshine. 5am lying by the swimming pool is quite a shock for the body (Dubai is four hours ahead of the UK) and we spent the morning in that strange jet lag lethargic state.
