After a lazy morning round the pool, we went on our desert safari. We were taken in 4 wheel drive Toyota land cruisers into the desert in convoy and then proceeded on a harem scarem ride in the dunes which showed off the Toyota's and driver's skills. Our driver was Indian and he took every opportunity to insult his fellow Indians much to our amusement. At various stops we got the chance to run up dunes and slide back down them. On to a camel farm and then to the camp site where Sue and I rode camels and both had tattoos. Yes you did read this correctly I had a tattoo! However it will fade with time as it is henna. We tried smoking the water pipes which were menthol flavoured and fun although I do not think I will be buying one. We ended with male dancing and a belly dancer during our dinner before returning to the hotel after dark. It was a fun day even though a tourist version of the desert.
