Up early again! We went on a full day tour today of the Torres del Paine national park. This started with the cave of Megadon. This is an enormous cave caused by the sea eroding the rocks before the sea levels dropped millions of years ago. Archaeologists have discovered remains of dinosaurs and early mammals such as Sabre tooth tigers in this area. The sun was out and the wind was strong, a force 9 for those sailors (45-50 miles an hour) which made walking to the Grey Lake really hard work into the wind. This is named because it looks grey due to the rocks beneath the lake. We stopped for lunch at a typical Chilean restaurant where we had very tough steaks, so tough you could have made shoes from them! The restaurant made up for the so so food by having a stunning view of the mountains. Whilst we had lunch there were picnickers outside and a fox walked by to scrounge scraps. It seems even in Patagonia the foxes are becoming domesticated. After lunch onto a waterfall which was water draining from one lake to another. It was flowing with an amazing intensity. Finally we were dropped off by the tour bus who was taking the rest of the passengers back to Puerto Natales. We were picked up by another van and taken to our hotel. It felt slightly like a prisoner exchange.
