So, four days till I go. Just to demonstrate my utter lack of readiness ... I need to start packing, work out which shoes to take (I have already had to rule out all heels, which is really upsetting) and hope to encounter some forgotten money somewhere. There is very little else to report as yet. Conversation with the group (there are 7 of us going in total) currently revolves mostly around the purchase of extra items of thermal underwear, and whether or not it is sensible to have a party in a hotel which charges 22p per hour, which normally doesn't allow foreigners in. I am terrified about getting there (there is the ever-present fear that they won't like my visa, or will say I don't look like my passport, or lose my luggage, or I'll turn up at the wrong airport, or something) but very excited about getting there. In fact, I have rarely been more excited in my life, and that's saying something. Right, so to packing... see you on the other side of the border! xxx
