For once, the flight to Singapore was on time, there was no queue at immigration and it was easy to get into town, where our accommodation actually had a record of our booking! What a result. Our next stop was Brisbane, where we stayed for three nights. We both really liked the city, but found it very similar to Melbourne as they are both on a river with a really nice southbank area. After leaving the heat of Melbourne we headed to the floods of Cairns and Northern Queensland. When we arrived the weather was awful and the roads were all blocked, and they expected it to stay that way for at least a week. We stayed in quite a nice hostel, but Cairns itself was pretty dead. Kia Ora. After Franz Josef we headed to Lake Wanakafor 3 nights. The weather was so nice there and it was a really cool place.
