Mum and Iain Hello, der What a great blog. I definitely live in hope - even yet - that one day that word will be spelt correctly!! Although the use of the word 'supine' more than makes up for it! Only physiotherapists could use such a word so casually! Those nurse fish sound disgusting but intriquing. How many people had their feet in the water at the same time? Very strange. Have you seen the snacks of insects and grubs for sale from street Vendors? More importantly, if you have, have you eaten any of them? If you do, we want pictures as evidence of them BEING eaten! Mum and Iain Hi Sweethearts Bali, eh? And on a fiver a day! Blimey. I ENTIRELY sympathise with the whole blog / uploading of pics thing, now! And that's with my own laptop to hand! Internet is free where we are at the moment which is a bit of a boon, but the whole thing is so time-consuming - even when you're as quick as you, Mike! We're going to a hotel near the airport tomorrow as I don't think we'll have too much time to look around Auckland. We'll have to do it the next time we come!! (Wouldn't that be great?) We've absolutely LOVED New Zealand; it's a fabulous country. And having you come here first was brilliant for us! We'll have to engage your services every time we want to visit a new country!! Mike and Rose Hey, In Bali at the moment, managing to live on 5 pounds each a day which is great and still having fun!! The computers are all really slow, so not sure when we will be able to put any photos up, may have to do a huge slide show for you all when we return. xxxxxxxx

Sara Singapore - YAY! Are you staying in little India? Wherever you are in Malaysia head for Little India or Chinatown and you'll get great deals! Bravo for doing the NIGHT SAFARI - you will absolutely LOVE it! Get the little train for half but walk the rest! Have fun!! xx

Mum and Iain Whoo Hoo!! A blog at last: brilliant. And, yes, I quite understand the pressures of time and money that you're under when you have to use internet cafes! I won't complain again - but I may have to gently remind / nag a little!! Hope Singapore is good and that you're having fun. Can't wait to hear about the orangutangs (hard word to spell, that; don't often use it!). Just don't try and pack one away in your bag to take home, Mike, not even a very small one! Hoping to do the helicopter flight over Franz Josef tomorrow - if we haven't left it too late. Most of the web sites say you need to book 48 hours ahead! Oops. Mum and Iain [Just finishing a message and this stupid computer lost it!! It's such a frustrating machine.] That was a great update, Guys; really interesting. It must be so frustrating to have to swim in a wet suit! Yuck. Iain is on tenterhooks for Tom to get back from the match to see if the scored with Everton finished at nil all or whether Newcastle make a late break for the goal. Hum; let me think: what's likely!! (I realise that Iain could check the score but they need the obligatory rant!) Definitely.. We had a lovely weekend in Yorkshire - lovely warm sunshine yesterday and today; gorgeous. Had a good walk up the river - up behind the house towards the Edge and then down into Reeth and home. Cracker. We're off to Scotland for Naomi's wedding next weekend, which we're looking forward to. Off to the wilds of the West Coast of Scotland. The wedding venue is gorgeous, but it's up a dirt track from the 'main' road - the taxi driver says to allow 50 minutes for the 12-mile journey! Be worth it, I'm sure. Certainly looks lovely on the web site. The headland is opposite Gigha Island, which is where your Dad and I saw whales (right next to boat!) when we sailed up there with Grandpa many moons ago. If I remember right, there were at least two of them, might have been three, and they looked bigger than our boat! Eee, we lived life on the edge. Mum and Iain 44 degrees!! Blimey. It's a bit cooler here, I have to say; 'bracing', as they say. Still can't get the cars up to the playground, so we decided as next door aren't here, we'll just leave them where they are. The Council leaves piles of grit at intervals along the lane, but they haven't come as far as us, this year, so it was a bit of a trek to get the little we used. Good craic. Supposed to snow a bit more tomorrow, so we might get snowed in!! Iain says it's just like it always used to be up here, years ago. Safe jounney to Cairns and catch up again, soon. Janet Hope you are enjoying Australias heatwave whilst we are in the depths of the big freeze!!! Yes we actually had snow for 24 hours, the sand dunes and beach were completely white. Yvette went up to louisa's farm they sledged on a lilo and then quad biked back up the hill. Love the photo's, we watched the tennis on tv, it must haqve been awesome actually being there. look forward to your next blog love you loads mum dad and yvette xxxx
