After 5 really good (if a little rainy) days in Melbourne, we hit the Hume Freeway and managed to cover 650kms in a day and spent the weekend in Canberra. Got some decent sunshine for the first time in a few days and Canberra seemed nice. Lovely lake, nice walks, few nice restaurants... much better than we'd expected, i think, as everyone says it's awful! Plus, we strategically timed it to be there on Election Day!

Heading back towards Sydney Monday for 2 great nights courtesy of Tom Armstrong and the Free Lunch Frenzy... Beckham and the Galaxy Tuesday night, then Elton John at the Acer Arena Wednesday... it's not what you know...
