We took a small boat from Lombok to Gili Air with the locals, it was packed and resembled the fruit and veg isle at Tesco's, luckily it only took half hour. Once we had found a hotel in Senggigi we went for a walk along the beach. Lonely planet explains that the beaches here are the best any traveller will find so when we walked along the muddy looking sand we were a bit disappointed. We were sad to leave Pandan island, we had some amazing dives and the island was beautiful but onwards and upwards. Our next stop and our final stop in the Philippines was a place called Puerto Galera, north of Mindoro. We thought this would be a pretty simple journey as it was on the main island across from Pandan which is set in the west of Mindoro. However we were told we would have to drive the other way round the island, anticlockwise, as roads didn't exist....
