Is it really over? Yep but thats OK, many things say its time to come home. Like the lack of bank balance. So knowing that its back to a real life ive spent the last 2 days having a real holiday. One day Philippa and I didnt leave the hotel room untill 6 at night. Nice huh. And today we spent on the beach getting baked. Very nice indeed. So its over. Im at the airport and in less than an hour ill be on my flight to Sydney. Plan - Sleep the whole way and wake up on Melb time. Hope it works out. So whilst standing in the cue to check in for this flight I cast my mind back and came up with a few statistics. So here they are - 19 Flights - 12 Countries - 8 bike testing sessions - 8 bikes inspected but not tested - 7 hire cars driven with no accidents - 7 MTB races - 2 Colds (both from drinking too much and sleeping not enough) - No injuries - Way to many mountains ridden up to count - Far to many KMS ridden to remember - Been through my 4 CDs of music about 8 times over. Man am I sick of them. Thats about as far as I got before I got in a fight with the check in lady over a new charge they wanted me to pay for my bike. Like hell I was paying $50 US for my bike to fly when ive flowen around the world so far with no charge. Turns out you cause enough of a fuss and you get anything. Learnt that from Mum.
