Well after 5 days of crappy weather there was not a could in the sky today. Im still not well with swalon glands. No not that one Ryan. Ive had a bad cold but its gone now. Just having trouble swalling food that is not soft. Oh well been making lots of soups and tonight another Potato Thai Curry. Yep made it even more mild this time so both Jorg and Anna finished their meals with no complaints. Yeah! This is my last night for a week or so at Anna's house. Tomorrow im sleeping in the big tent as security for the rider bags and then Anna's family arrive on Friday so im staying at a German guys house called Peter. He is Jorgs oldest sisters fiance. Nice guy with a very cute place as well. Bit close to the parents place if you ask me but hey some people want to live next door to them. Got out for antoher ride today. Did the 42km marathon course. It was a great ride that once decending the other side of the first climb (7.5km up to get over the top that is) I got to see a whole new lot of scenery. Down the bottom the course went through some great private properties and right past some of the propertie houses. I mean right past like their drive way. Also it rode through a saw mill loading bay which had a river on one side and the mill on the other. Only a car width wide and under cover. Hard to explan but very very pretty. I climbed the tower on top of the climb and took a few shots also. One is on the gallery now in the Offenburg photos, plus some great sun set photo's form yesterday. The event draws near with just a few days now. They have about 1200 in the Marathon's and 300 or so for the Sunday race. Im keen to race but it just wont happen as there is so much to do and it is important that Jorg races in the Marathon. Oh I rode all the drops today in the course. crashed again in what they call Northshore but no biggy. Then did the hard line (only line now) in world class drop. I stopped 3 times before I actually did it, quite the heart starter. Then onto Wolf's drop whish is the hardest of the all. Thing was I did wolfs drop no worries. Probably cos there is heaps of runn off unlike the other two where you have no room to pull up and make a corner before an abrupts stop into a fence. Nearly hit one of the fences today. Well had no night life at all here in Offenburg. They are talking a night out after the event but will see if it happens. There is the event mega party on the weekend though with live bands and about 3000 people expected. Should be a bit of fun, even if they all do speak German. Oh my German is coming along. I can swear, count and say thankyou and goodbye. Pointing is still getting me the rest of what I want. Next story will be either of the race weekend or me have a big crash on the course. Im going to strap the camera to the bike tomorrow and video these drops. Its worth it, I tell you.
