Florianópolis (21 - 25 May) From the island we returned to mainland Brazil and then south to Flory. Billed as a surfing hot spot the surfers within our gang were ready to roll! no surf though, turns out the beach were we situated ourselves was resereved for fishermen at the time of the year. Isle Grande (16- 20 May) After rocking it out in Rio, we decided to hit he beautiful island of Isle Grande to recoup. Porto Seguro (28-30th April) After enjoying the delights of salvador and natal with jamie and lynz, Brides and I set off south on our own for a few days before we met up with the lovely couple again in RIO! Salvador (24-27th April) It's the most African influenced city in Brazil and smacks of culture. During are stay in the city we situated ourselves in Pelourinho. The area was full of small narrow cobbled streets and boasted loads of churches. Armed police stood on every street corner due a history of muggings in the area.
