3 weeks back in the place I love the most; Southern California, where the sun always shines and everyone is down for summer fun. As your probably aware I spent two months in LA two years ago doing a summer internship and staying with the Thomas family in Studio City. So I was back to visit! Very kindly they let me stay there for the duratio…

OMG! I am so jealous! You don't know me but I'm just in awe and had to msg. I don't know how you did it all, but it must be amazing seeing and doing all that you have whilst travelling, you have no idea what kind of aspirations you raise! Have travelled SE asia (you've summed up KL my home for 6 months pretty darn perfectly!) and some of Europe but nothin on such a grand scale, I can only say 'respect'!! Living the dream springs to mind,=) take care mate, keep up the madness!!! Ju x

Well it looks like you made it Andy and for the rest of your life you'll always have the experience with you.
I guess it's back to the 'real' world of work, responsibility and progression now-but as depressing as that sounds to me, I guess you'll be able to take it all on with a far greater sense of self worth and commitment having just done what you have.
Spoke to your Mum the other day and she says you'll be back in Alston for a while after Colin's wedding is over ( and on that note give your brother my best wishes if you get the chance because although I rarely knew him, I knew enough to know he was a great guy) so drop me a line and we'll hook up sometime (see, I know the words the cool kids use!)
Anyway, congratulations on a great time and hold the line...................

ANDY WALTON
On Tuesday I fly to NYC for a flying visit before I arrive back in England so these are my final words;
The trip is over, its been big, loud, quiet, crazy and chilled. I wanted to do this trip for a number of reasons, primarily to have fun but also about getting out there and learn more about the world and myself, to see how i coped in random situations, to get inspired through places and people, to experience things i have only dreamt about and things that i couldnt have even imagined before embarking on the trip.
This world is so broad and diverse and full of possibilities that cannot be explored soley through the educational system. I got to see life in many different lights, crazy diversity! from partying in the slums of Rio, Brazil to chilling in the mansions of Orange County, California.
The trip has not always been easy for me but im sooo glad i did it. I feel massively privileged to experience what I have. A big shout out to all those I traveled with and all those I have met on my travels. Its been Fun. Keep in touch. Brides u were a legend and a good friend.
