ehllo everyone;
long time no postage, i do believe all the way from cap scirring as the last blog post never got posted due to a technical failure.
so cap skirring was nice, chilled beaches after our enourmous travel ordeal. was quite funny how one of the workers in the hotel was in love with robyn, his name was simon and he had a funny stutter, i know i shouldnt laugh but it was funny, anyway his chat up attepts involved telling rbyn of his numerous dreams about her and describing her as the mmmmmmmmmm most kindest sweetest humanitarian person he had ever met hehe. on the other hand, not so funny was this guy had a little crush on me by the name of fernando. he took us on a fishing trip and nick and robyn kept sniggering at him being a bit touchy feely and kept looknig at me but i thought he was just being a nice guy, well i was proved wrong when we met him later to go out clubbing and he turned up in skin tight teeshrt and jeans... oh dear.
so after cap skirring, we made our way up the coast to another beach resorty place near Banjul in the gambia, for a minuit i thought that my french had vstly improved and i had become fluent other night untill i rememberd they speak in engligh in banjul; doh ! so we chilled here for a day and the next day set off for Toabab Diallo near Dakar.
so fist we jumped into a taxi to the gare routier, then a tro tro to banjul, then another taxi to the ferry port then the ferry across the river gambia, had a great sandwich in the most craziest tro tro station in the world, caught a sept place to the border, another sept place from the border to some senegalese place, a taxi to the gare routier again; another sept place to the junction for Toabab Diallo and finally a taxi to Toabab Diallo, few ! wat a mish eh.
Toabab diallo was really nice great beach cool hotel with lush decor and a great creperie on the beach chilled here for a couple of days then onto dakar,
in dakar the 1st thing we had to do was get our mauritania visas which was in the busseliest part of down and was a real hassle but once we had this out the way we got out to our hotel on the outskirts of dakar in an area called les mamelles; yes i know what this means in french, this night we ,et some cool belgian guys who were taking the same route as us up to morroco, that night found this cool little secret beach through a constuction ward where they gave us tea and we ate nutella and bread. the next day me and robyn went on a day trip to isle de goree, a beutifull little island off dakar with buatifull colonial architectue, was loverly, then went back to our secret squirrel beach where nick barbequed us fresh fish and prwns and we drunk beer and red whine from a caton untill the sun went down and a little after; out third day in dakar robyn was super excited for; we went scuba diving, they took us out to just of isle de goree and did abit of diving, took a while to get used to is a little scary trying to get your body to breave underwater but got used to it and the guide took me of a tour of 10000 things to poke under the sea, we proded sea annenomies, harrased puffer fish and prodded rays to our hearts content. that night we went to bed and got destroyed by mosquitos after arranging with the belgians to leave very early the next morning for st lois.
so after the usual hassle at the gare routier we managed to get a sept place for us 6 and off we left, a good trip as we were kept entertained by the belgians penchant for quizzes, when we got to out st lois we got to out hotel and went to a swimming pool and explored st lois abit before crashing out. the next day we met some cool peeps; david and maxim from manchester and giora from canada, and we all went off together to the zebra bar, a hostel close to st lois. nick and giora, in an attempt to save mony shunned our taxi taking and opted for public transport, 3 hours later they showed up at our hostel with the satisfied smiles of men whe had saved themselves 50pence each hahah nobbers. that night we played poker; btw i rinsed everyone, and got wasted played many drinking games and had a generally great time the next day there was free water sports so we windsurfed, kayaked, and fished to our hearts content, then more booze and off to mauritania.
after much travelling we got to atar on a sept place that cruised all the way there at 30 miles an hour with the hottest oven wind in the world beating the crap out of us; staying in atar then got to chinguetti, there we found a guide, he took us for tea at his place, a giude of the old town and then dinner at his place, the next day we went on a treck into the sahara, the dunes were amazing we went to an oasis, had lunch, swam in the smallest swimming pool evr then made our way home whilst larcking about on the huge sand dunes. the next day was the start of ourmassive trip that i am at the end of now.
so got up, got a 4x4 to atar and oanother to choum, waited aoundin choum playing cards with cheating mauritanians untill the train pullled up, we all ran for it and jumped up into the carriages full of iron ore was propper cool, felt like a proper vagabond and was free woohoo that night constructed a bed out of my bag and iron ore ut got sooo so so cold in the middle of the night and getting out sleeping bag and zipping it out was such a mish in the pitch dark, howling winds, bumpy tain and freezing cold, after 12 hours we arrived in noahadabidou, had breakfast and jumùped in the smallest van in the world with evryone just spralle don the floor, crossed the border into morocco nd it then took us all day and most of the night to get to dahkla, we grabbed a little sleep in dahkla from "am till about çam, got up and jumped on a 24 hour bus to here, agadir.
ok gotta go caus i is starvinchi
adios
