We started this morning by heading back down to Cannery Row to look for sea otters. We didn't see any around the wharves there. We walked around the corner & found one of the universities had a harbour seal observation area & there were seals there. After we checked out this morning, we went & found the Mrs Doubtfire house. It is in an area full of big beautiful houses. Today we went on a cable car. I have always wanted to ride on the standing board but have never been able to. Today, that was the only place available so we travelled all the way from Union Square to the bottom of Hyde St (near Fisherman's Wharf). Today was much cooler than it has been in SF. We went on the green line hop on hop off tour & although it was a single decker bus, it was still predominantly roofless. It was pretty chilly in the open as there was no sun. The tour took us through the Theatre District, the Civic District, into Golden Gate Park, the Haight/Ashbury District (hippie area), Japantown & Alamo Square. We got on a hop on hop off bus just after 10am this morning and started with the Downtown loop. We started at Union Square & found out the big heart we had taken our photos with last night was painted with the same paint as the Golden Gate Bridge.
