We actually slept in this morning after our late back from the Tango show last night. We decided to visit the Plaza Italia area; the Zoo, Botanical Gardens, the Eva Peron Museum, the Japanese Gardens and the other parks in the area. How to get there? Walk - too far. Taxi - too expensive. Asked hotel reception and easy by bus No 37 - Peso $1.25 each - about AUS $0.25. Breakfast then an early departure to visit the La Recoleta district. We were so early 8.15am by BA norm that many shops and cafes were not open. About 15 minutes walk to the Recoleta cemetery, totally comprising musoleums of BAs ruling elite from an era past - although some families continue to lie at rest in existing shrines. The day started with a great breakfast in the hotel. Hotel pick up for the day tour just before 9.30am, but it took a long time to get started by the time we picked everyone up. Visited the Plaza Liberador General San Martin and on to parks of the Parque 3 de Febrero where dog walkers walk 15-20 dogs; quite amusing to see someone with all these dogs on a leash.
