Thursday 18th November

We were up at 8am as we had to pack all our stuff. It was then time to say bye to our kiwi experience gang which was really sad! We have been so so lucky to have had such fab groups in both china and new zealand! Our flight to Fiji left at 1pm and took 3 hours, we arrived safely and were then picked up by a member of staff from mango bay resort who took us to our resort which is situated on the coral coast. The journey to the resort was eventful, we had a fijian man as our driver who looked as hard as nails and rather than say hello on arrival he just beckoned us to the car!lol. His driving was questionable, he drove as close as he possibly could to cars in front, and we are pretty sure he killed two birds on the way! 2 hours later we finally got to mango bay. We are staying in what they call a 'bure' it is a little thatched hut, simple in design but very nice. We have a bed and toilet inside, but to have a shower means opening the door into our own little courtyard where you shower outside! It is quite secluded so it is ok,lol. We arrived at about 6.15pm so we had showers and then went to the restaurant on site for something to eat. We were warned the fijian lifestyle was very relaxed inluding in restaurants so approximately an hour after ordering our food arrived.lol. but it was very nice :) It was then time for bed after a long day!

Friday 19th November

We got up at 8.30am and headed to the restaurant for breakfast, breakfast is included which is good so we made the most of it...cereal, toast and fruit! We then got our beach wear on and lounged on the beach and had a swim in the sea. It really is a little paradise island, the bures over look the clear blue water and the island is surrounded by palm trees, banana trees, and cocunut trees which is so pretty. We have just had a light lunch and are writing this blog now, and later we are going back to the beach and we will go for dinner later on tonight.

Only a few days of blogging to go before we return home so we will try to upload some final pictures now! xxxxx
