Kia Ora! Considering we left for Africa a year ago tomorrow, I suppose it was about time we did a few days work and I am pleased to report Kylie and I have just completed our first week back in the rat race. It took a few weeks for us to find work but once employers heard we were here they couldn't help but throw job offers in our direction! Kylie chose carefully and is now working for a company called talPacific who specialise in holidays to the Pacific Islands - so let's hope lots of cheap holidays will be coming our way! I have also found my way back into the travel industry, this time working for an NZ operator called Tourmasters. Hopefully between us we will be able to get cheapish holidays for any of you who manage to make the journey to the other side of the world! So the only thing we really need to get sorted now is somewhere to live. We are currently staying with friends but are hunting hard to get the perfect spot. Today we looked at a place with pool and sea view....fingers crossed on that one! Next week I head off to the South Island for what in the industry is termed as a familiarisation trip....more like a free holiday so Im not complaining. I will be heading round the South Island from Nelson onto Greymouth down to Queenstown and back up to Christchurch. Can't wait! The weather is still treating us kindly and considering we have been away a year now, it feels strange to still be experiencing the sunshine and hot days. I can't wait for a season change!
