Considering we left for Africa a year ago tomorrow, I suppose it was about time we did a few days work and I am pleased to report Kylie and I have just completed our first week back in the rat race. It took a few weeks for us to find work but once employers heard we were here they couldn't help but throw job offers in our dire…
Hi there - a few pictures have been added showing off our lovely little home in Auckland.
Life is returning to a normal 9-5 working week albeit living on the other side of the world. We are still enjoying the sunshine and are now planning the small matter of a wedding in July.

Just a quick note to say we are alive and well and enjoying the relaxed pace of life here in the Hawkes Bay. The weather has been pretty good and we are busy helping Kylie's parents out in the…

Dear Rob & Kylie, 10 Sep 05
thank you for our card, I was checking the site for the wedding snaps, pull your finger out Rob! Di sends her regards, I'll show her your web site when she's down in October. Big Rob is still working for cosmos and alive last time I heard and we are over to the Varstars next Saturday for lunch. Her bambino, Francesca is 4 months now. Ours is due on 14 Nov, so not long to go now, 9 weeks on Monday.
Take Care Lots of Love

So how's married life Rob? Fantastic innit? Ahem. Thanks for the wedding photo, you both looked great (but what have you done to your hair?!!). I thought the hairy look went out some time ago. But then, who am I to lecture you on hair hmm? Anyway, now that you've traveled the world, I imagine there's nowhere left to go on honeymoon. See, there are donwsides you know. We're off on a cruise Moscow - St Petersburg in a couple of weeks time so perhaps we'll bump into you there.
Anyway, I like the look of your house, very cosy - but lots of gardening required by the looks of things. I can recommend patio slabs, marvellous invention. Do they have them in NZ yet?
Rebecca
Rob, you obviously haven't had any doughnuts since St Petersburg, Xmas in New Zealand should sort that out. Then maybe you can wear the Luther t-shirt without any smart comments from my brother. Smart comments and the mention of the mighty Lord Luther shouldn't be allowed in the same sentence!! Have a fantastic Christmas and New Year, look forward to the photos.

Top photos guys, really brings Africa to life and starts whetting the appetite for next year and at least I can pretend it's not freezing cold here!
Rog who's the underfed bloke in the luther blissett t-shirt?

Hi Rob and Kylie in NZ. Well done, you have arrived, now your hard work starts. It was absolutely great talking to you Rob on the phone yesterday. Many thanks for all your wonderful postcards on this site and the messages of other family and friends. It made us feel much more in touch. Can I please put a plea in to all those people that they continue to occasionally send messages. The reason for this is that we have not just 'lost' Rob to NZ but have lost the news/contact with his friends. We are still interested in how you are all doing so keep them coming. Love to you all.

Hi K&R,
Congrats again about your piece of good news. Have spotted your location on the other-side of the map and has stirred up a yearning to quit it here for a while and head on over there. Must be excellent weather and superb conditions for travelling. Hope you are both well. You will be glad my Volvo is running fine in the face of cooler weather here - am trying to keep up the classic car thing following your VW beetle trend. Any news on shipping it. Have taken a break from reading to post some news on here. Have a work option lined up and hope this will finance any travel plans. Caught up with Jim and little Amy recently in St.Albans all fine and we are planning a pre-Christmas catch up. Will keep in touch - keep in touch guys - give us your news as it happens!!!

Helloo,
Egg fwied wice. Quite an amazing adventure, and no mistake. Keep up the e-mails. Thought I'd stop being lazy and actually post a message on your board. Is it me or did that sound mildly like a line out of a Carry On film? The weather is now true concrete grey cold - perfect English misery as winter wraps around us again. Vietnam sounds impossibly exotic in comparison. Latest on my jealous eye-casting towards the other side of the world: tentatively investigating the chances of working at Melbourne Herald Sun. So, who knows? Take care both of you and will e-mail again soon.
Vicky
Hey guys!
Congrats again on getting engaged. Kylie - remember, on the big day its considered inpolite to slur your vowes, but don't worry - I'll look after the drinks!. Looks like you are having a ball travelling, but I still reckon all you need is in New Malden so not in the slightest bit jealous. Well, maybe just a little.....

Hi!!!! Finally able to sit down with enough time to access your web page. How fantastic!!! You guys are living anyone's life dream although by the sounds of it you would question that at times. Each difficulty is now but a memory which will always evoke it's own unique emotion. Go for it!! Especially that one part about, "Oh, yeah, and we got engaged". Wow! Sounds like everything about this trip is wonderful. Rob, I don't know you well but you must be special to capture Kylie's heart. I hope I can be there to share that special day when you marry. And moreover I hope that when you gaze into each others eyes each day you search for a newness that you didn't recognize the day before. I am happy for both of you and I look forward to continued communications. Be safe and well. Lovingly, Anita
