The return trip is always the hardest, staying at the airport meant only getting up at 530am, this was a big time saving, getting to the airport ,at the North terminal,to meet staff , for our 10 am flight to let them know Marakech is traveling with a O2 machine, and attempt to sort out the mess with the tickets back to Singapore, which we unfortunately couldn't resolve, so nothing like checking in, and getting through customs only to pulled aside at baggage scanning as you had left the hotel corkscrew in your carry on, ahh well we do make it hard for ourselves, but I was assured the offending corkscrew was fine, even when I offered to bin it, so we carried on , grabbing a quick coffee and a bite to eat at Jamie's Italian restaurant , then the long walk to our gate 110, then as we had medical equipment, we were among the first to board, . Then we were off 7 hours later to land in Dubai, pretty uneventful flight even managed to get a few hours sleep for us both, then the quick shuffle across Dubai airport as there was on 90 minutes between landing and takeoff , then almost disaster, baggage scan our offending corkscrew was identified again but this time it wasn't going any further, but our customs officer had to find her superior officer before deciding that binning it was suitable, (we had offered that request) this was 10-15minutes we didn't really need to lose, but lucky for us this time both flights landed and left from the same terminal, so we didn't need to catch the train. Lucky for us..
