After leaving Houston, we visited Carlsbad Caverns, Jena and family in Tuscon, Sunset Crater and Wupatki (near Flagstaff), and the Grand Canyon. After a couple day in Vegas with Alex, we had a bear encounter in Sequoia Nat'l Park, but arrived at Stanford safely Aug 25. We've been in Palo Alto for about a month now. Hi All, A lot has happened since we last wrote. After Rome, we travelled through Italy by car and enjoyed the Tuscan wines and Venetian canals. Then it was back to NH. Hi Everyone, We are almost done with our whirlwind tour of Rome and will be renting a car and travelling into Tuscany tomorrow. In Rome, we saw the Colloseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, and toured the entire Vatican (including the Sistine Chapel and the Cupola of St. Peters). Tuscany promises to be beautiful and relaxing. At long last, we have updated the website. The quick recap is as follows. Since Amsterdam, we have: spent 4 days in Athens, visited Tasoula and family on Aigina Island for a day, spent 5 days on Skiathos Island at a beautiful resort and made arrangements for our trip to Italy. Hi Everyone, This will be our last entry from Amsterdam. We are having so much fun! Two days ago, we went to the Kroller-Mueller Museum in central Holland. The journey took us 2 hours by rail and bus to get there. The museum had a large collection of Van Gogh paintings as well as a number of sculptures both indoor and outdoor.
