hey everyone, Had a wild week in laos, went on a white water rafting trek. we get to paddle for two hours down the river, then, drove to another river with stronger rapids for another hour. Our guide dropped us off a tribe village where we had to stay overnight. Everyone there wasn't welcoming at all, they had no electricity at all. We got change into something warm after soaking ourself in the river. Everyone in the tribe couldnt stop staring at us at all, had dinner about 7, gosh i never had so many people staring at every spoonful i put in my mouth. Bedtime was at 8, hardly surprising when theres no lights. Then early in the morning, the tribe gave us a special welcoming prayer. we had to eat boiled egg, sticky rice, ergghh! Also gave us white strings, 7 on each wrist it had to be left for 4 days then we take it to our country, it brings happiness and luck. To end our lovely trip our guide took us trekking through the forest, what a night mare, we kept falling down, both of my flip flops snapped and so did beck's, so we had to walk on rocks, sticks and mud practically all the way, swam in a nice waterfall. What an experience! im telling you, laos is a country i will never forget and a place where the fun never end!
