We begin the last day of our trip at 8:15 am following a good breakfast, which was about the only good thing at our hotel. Hopefully we have hit our last toll and can now just focus on getting home. Maine is really pretty - we met a nice couple at breakfast who flew out from southern California to see it and they love it here. I guess my best advice for anyone planning a cross country trip through the states or anywhere would be: bring a bag of money for just tolls, wear sweat capris, iPods for everyone, have one or two spare days so if someone gets sick or you are enjoying where you are or you simply want shorter driving days, you can afford it time-wise, and before going anywhere that it will be rush hour, heavy construction zones, or Chicago, make sure everyone uses the bathroom, have a full tank of gas, and have drinks and snacks. We have just crossed the border and are officially back in Canada. Currently on the hunt for some lunch and we should be home in about five hours. After grabbing lunch at Subway and McDonalds, we power on and should be home by early evening. It really has been a great trip and we look forward to heading back to Winnipeg next August, quite glad that it won't be as far as the 14,700km's that we travelled over the last month!!
