Day Two: I am awake in a darkened hotel room after having been wakened by snoring from a certain someone who will remain unnamed. Hopefully everyone will wake up soon. There is a continental breakfast with my name written all over it - thus we celebrated Robyn's 30th birthday over homemade oatmeal with brown sugar and peanut butter on toast - Happy Birthday Robyn! Back on the road and we have seen two vehicles pulled over by nicely dressed state troopers, yet despite these glaring consequences of speeding, our vehicle continues hurtling along at a high speed. I find solace in my new Ipod and the Genius playlist feature. The funniest thing we (keeping in mind that the majority rules) saw today was a large roll of toilet paper flying off the back of a truck hauling a portapotty and exploding into the front of the vehicles two car lengths up. The toilet paper remnants flew up into the air all across the highway, flying in front of us almost like party confetti as though welcoming us to the state of Massachusetts. Note: "Naugatuck" does not get pronounced as "Naughty Tuck", yet I find my boredom slightly alleviated upon having to explain the rules of sounding things out - and it is not to my six year old :). Stopped for soup and sandwiches at D' Angelo's. The sandwiches were delicious, however the soup must receive a failing grade. We checked into the Holiday Inn Express in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania and are happy to report the room is clean and crispy cool and that the pool is quite nice. After following the hotel desk clerk's suggestion to have supper at Quaker Steak and Lube, we headed over to discover about one hundred motorcycles parked with bikers swarming the joint as it was Biker Buffett night. Undaunted, we remained and tried to blend in :(. Dinner was okay, but it is not a place we would normally frequent.
