Sunday 22 October 2006 - Diamond Harbour Got to Diamond Harbour, where Alan grew up. Got our icecreams and made our way down to the harbour where you can catch a boat to Lyttleton. Drove up and crossed the paddock full of sheep! (used to be a golf course) and took a walk up to try and get a glimpse of Alan's old house. Saturday 21 October 2006 - Christchurch City Early bus into Christchurch City starting at Cathedral Square (Christchurch's focal point!).  Saw the Cathedral, the Chalice and the market.  Went on City Walk number 1, Ellie playing tour guide!! Thursday 19 October 2006 - Akoroa Last day with Brad so we went on a little trip to Akoroa, french style town with french road names and french cafe's. Very cute. Walked around Rue de Jollie and went to the Wharf. On the way back stopped at Birdlings Flat, pebbly beach where you could find gems (if you were lucky!) Tuesday 17 October 2006 - Hamner Springs & Kaikoura Made our way north of Christchurch up to Hamner Springs. Straight into Hamner Springs Thermal Pools & Spa. Spent the day hopping from pool to pool relaxing! Some smelling of sulphur but after Rotorua it was nothing! Great way to spend a day!
