Thursday 3 August 2006 - Las Vegas Dragging ourselves out of bed we headed next door for breakfast/lunch. Waiter getting increasingly annoyed with Ellie continously sending unfizzy sprite back! After a few attempts asking for vinegar she thought it best to give up! Tried to find the Hard Rock Cafe, could see it - just couldn't get to it! Gave up, got a taxi - too hot!! Started our tour of the strip at the Stratosphere and made our way down visiting some casinos along the way. Back out in the evening to watch the fountain show at the Billagio. (Basically water dancing to music - fab!) Headed to O'Sheas hearing about their 18 hour happy hour (2am till 8pm)! Can't believe we actually missed it! We were 3 hours late! (or early!) Went in to play some pool anyway before some more casinos. Went to a bar in Ceasers Palace (Shadows) then had a gamble at some Russian Roulette..... lost! but nevermind it's now happy hour at O'Sheas! Back to there where the lads were challenged to a game of pool by some guys from Alabama. Bit strange to say the least! They were dressed in colourful beads, christmas decorations! Escaped and headed to the Venetian (mini Venice inside!). Nearly forgot the comical moment of the evening...... Poor Rita deep in coversation missing her footing up the stairs giving the group an eyeful! (asking herself why the hell she had to be wearing a skirt!!)
