Hello, this is just a quick blog while we have our last few hours in Melbourne as we fly out tonight and land in Christchurch, New Zealand, on the South Island.

Sunday 10th Feb

We went to the St Kilda music festival with Edel & Jonny and had a great day and it was all free!! We watch quite a few bands, some motorbike stunts, waterski action in giant inflatable paddling pools, oh and Iain & Jonny quite like the ladies volleyball finals since all they were wearing were bikinis!

Monday 11th Feb

We met Edel & Jonny for lunch in the city and then went to the Neighbours night at an English pub in St KIlda at night - i was really embarrassed as we were walking up to the door as we had paid for $40 to go but when we got in it was really busy and had a great atmosphere and we got a free wine & beer! They had loads of cheesy pop playing and then the "stars" came out,Dr Karl, Rachel, Dylan & Daniel ( i know none of them except of course for Karl!)

They started the pub quiz while the stars went around all the tables to get their photos taken and within minutes Dr Karl had popped up to our table, and Iain said, "My mum loves you!!" (Me & Edel were cringing like mad as Iain was so star struck...) and then he said "I watched you on a UK talent programme and you were so good......." Cringe factor! Then Edel said, "Charlotte just loves Neighbours and knows everyone!" ( i was dying with embarrasment!) But we got our photos with him!

We didn't do very well at the quiz but got our photos with the other stars too and then at 11pm Dr Karl and his band "The waiting room" came on and were really good, it did cover versions from Kaiser Chiefs etc and his own stuff and he could sing!! It turned out to be such a good night!

Yesterday we packed the giant rucksacks and went out to the Italian quster for a meal with Laura & Shaun, bad meal!! Took 1 hour for the main courses to arrive and then only 3 arrived and we had to wait another 10mins for the final meal!!! However, we went to a great Italian cakes shop after and got a yummy desert to make up for it!!

We are just of to say bye to Edel in the city and then to the airport ( except at the moment we can't do online checkin so we may not sit together - great!!)
