We have arrived in Sydney now - got here yesterday after delays leaving Darwin due to stormy weather and a mega rush changing planes at Brisbane with 10 mins before take off. They let us off the plane 1st but then we still had a run through the airport to get to our Sydney plane.

Another saga began when we arrived in Sydney........as the plane was landing the crew said, "could all passengers who originated in Darwin please got to the Baggage Blues desk at the luggage carousel"!!! - not again we though! We got there and all our bags were still in Brisbane as they hadn't had time to put them on the plane! At least we knew they weren't lost but we had no bags! We had been clever this time ( after Iain's incident) and packed some shorts, tops and a wash bag in our hand luggage so at least we had a few bits. The bags didn't arrive at our accom until after 6 last night - not impressed Richard Branson ( Virgin Blue's big man!).

Our Accommodation here in Bondi Beach is amazing - we are in a new extension of 4 little cottages at the back of a converted town house and it's ultra clean, new and modern with our own bathroom, tv, fridge, microwave etc and it overlooks a courtyard with tables & seats, very nice. The kitchens in the main bit are ultra clean too and we had brekkie today ( free with our room!!) and there was loads on the buffet, cereal,m toast, fruit, biscuits, cakes - we well stocked up!!

We are about 20 mins by bus to Sydney centre so we will do a trip in there but are saving most of tourist things for when my mum gets here as we w ill then be based in the centre.

Just been to Bondi beach a a gorgeous little beach called Tamarama beach, around the cove which is really close to our accom. Oh and we hada lovely indian last nigt - just 1 meal again and we shared it - getting good at sharing 1 meal!!Off to buy a cake and some wine as we are going to Iain's cousin Graham's house for tea with his girllfriend and then down his local for a few!!
