Our last destination in South East Asia is upon us and we endeavour to make the most of the cheaper lifestyle while we can. Arriving at the border, leaving Malaysia is easy but getting into Singapore is not so! We were told that this place is over policed (is that possible?) so we're prepared for anything. A short bus journey from KL on a luxury bus - a bit like business class on a plane but without the peronal tv's - and we get to Melaka at around 12ish. We splashed out (£10 a night) on a hotel here as we know this'll be the last time for quite a while that we can afford a private room for ourselves. Our hostel in KL is called Pujangga Homestay and is a very welcome upgrade from the shack we stayed in at Taman Negara! With Wi-Fi and a movie lounge we felt spoilt! Once again on our day of arrival, we just manage to venture outside and have a short walk around, find some food, watch a film (!) then off to bed! Next day we wake up just in time to catch our free brekkie by midday. We're getting used to walking everywhere so we spent the whole day walking around...

Arriving in Cameron Highlands in the afternoon of the 11th Sept we step off the coach and an instantly appreciate the drop in temperature! It's only a few degrees but it feels so much cooler! Bob, from our guest house, gives us a quick introduction to Tanah Rata (the town) and advises us that they very rarely have a day without rain. Like being at home then!
