Apologies for the lack of pictures and blogs! cant keep blaming it on the lack of internet connection or having no laptop, we;ve just been enjoying ourselves! Well we have been in Australia now for about 8-9 weeks and are loving it.

We spent our first 6 weeks in Perth staying with Robyn & Paul. We had the most amazing time staying with them at their lovely houses in Fremantle & Bridgetown down towards margaret river. Definately recommend the West Coast at this time of year, we rarely had a cold wet day which is what Paul had predicted. We worked at various jobs during the week and explored on the weekends. I had a boring customer service job with Medicare, Rich however worked at the cemetary! Suffice to say we didnt mind too much when we left the jobs! However, it allowed us to earn cash for travelling up the West Coast in a campavan for a week. Great fun 3000Khm in 6 days! with the idea that Rich could go diving off Ningaloo reef, but the trip was cancelled due to bad weather, not the best, but we still had a fantastic time. To be fair there isnt a huge amount to see other than Shark Bay, Monkey Mia and Kalbarri. If I only had a week i would definately have gone South of Perth which we were lucky enough to do at weekends with Robyn and Paul, Its beautiful and the vineyards at Margaret River are a must! Can not thank Paul and Robyn & family enough for their hospitality, we had the most fantasitc time. I dont think I have eaten & drunk that well ever!

So we came over to Brisvegas about 2 weeks ago now. We took a 7 hour internal flight with Qantas, who in that time managed to loose our bags! Anyway a nice man delivered them to the door much later! We are staying with Jeremy and Kirsty just outside of Brisbane in Sherwood. Its great to see these guys after nearly 4 years. Jez's business doing well and we have been helping out where we can, dont know a huge amount about sign writing but im learning! We went up to the Australian Zoo last weekend which was fab. Steve Irwins legacy lives on, it was probably the best zoo i have ever been too, lots of pictures to follow. Then we spent Sunday with Jez, Kirsty, Grant and Michelle (who used to run the Walkabout in Wimbledon)

Helen came over from NZ on the weekend for a holiday so we went down to the gold coast for a week staying at the amazing Q1 hotel which was fab. Total week of sunbathing, shopping, eating and drinking, not sure how much rich enjoyed it but Helen and I had a ball! We went to the Jupiter Casino on Weds, which was a first for me, I won $100 on roulette! Dunc, Im a convert it was such fun! So back to Brisbane on Saturday for a quiet night and the rugby. Yesterday was Helen's last before heading back so Jez took us to an AFL game, another first for me, still dont quite get it, it just seems like a mix of footie and rugby????? Anyway the Brisbane Lions ruled winning by over 100 points. Great day out! So we are having a quite week or 2 before heading down to Melbourne to start work again!
