Home - preparing for interviews! Missing travelling!

Get off bus at 5.30 am and wait around ages before getting another bus to the ferry terminal. Ferry ride about 2 hrs to Ko Samui - so good to get here finally after much travelling from Chiang Mai. Check into Charlie Hut's - awesome beach side bungalows for 3.50 each a night! and have lunch by the beach before spending most of the day in bed. Dinner and then meet up with American girls randomly in Ark Bar - awesome bar on the beach - funky tunes and buckets aplenty.

Get off bus and arrive in Bangkok at about 6am and check back into New Siam - few hours sleep before sorting things out. Decide to leave big ruck sucks in Bangkok and just take bare essentials down to the islands. Get a moped to bus pick-up (we both expected a mini-bus not crazy mates zig-zagging their way around). Board the bus and have another uncomfortable night on the bus down to the ferry terminal in Surat Thani.

Both wake up with one of the biggest hang-overs by far after sucking down all those whisky, coke and red-bull buckets. Decide to get the bus back to Bangkok later that day so spend the day reading in Starbucks - as both getting quite into the whole reading thing - following a few purchases from the many book stores around.

Last day of trek - most action packed by far! Leave village and walk to elephant camp where we go elephant riding in pairs - up steep slopes, elephants really made to work hard and guides whacking them occasionally which seems a bit cruel! White water rafting and bamboo rafting with 5 american girls we met that day. Crazy bus ride back with us 4 guys on the roof all the way back through the jungle- ducking when going past low branches, Thomas and 'Lady man'...
