Foot still not better so go to ER and doctor says massive swelling on left ankle is prob due to bacterial skin infection from flip flop cuts - gives me massive 1gram antibiotic injection and prescribes course of medication - GREAT!! We really do take walking for granted - staggering around for last 2 days = v difficulkt and extremely over-rated!! Hop to beach - somehow make it out with mates to Cheeky' Monkey's great night!

Rubbish weather - pouring down (raise the game Australia yeah!) so everyone stays in hostel - internet, books, pool comp - get to semi- final with Joey v unlucky!! Hot tub action - awesome - girls in bikinis, drinking goon, boiling water, stars out - hard to beat Azwell!! Budda Bar dinner.

Check into awesome Arts Factory in Byron Bay - set in sub-tropical forest - complete with sauna, hot tub, pool, volleyball sand pit, teepees and double decker bus to sleep in!! Beach is great - and really hot - first opp to 'get out tan on'!! Coocomongas with Jon, Declan, Ed and Rob - rubbish, Cheeky Monkeys after beer and Goon.

Few hours in bed upon arrival at the awesome Arts Factory hostel - choice of accomodation - dorms, camping, teepess or double-decker bus!! Go for dorms as most available. Check out Byron town and head to the beach - great weather although waves not big enough to body board! Check out hostel Budda Bar and go into town - Choomangas and Cheeky Monkey - leave early as pretty rubbish, v disappointed Byron!!

Chill at hostel, big interent session, lunch on beach watching skateboard comp before finally leaving Sydney and heading on Greyhound bus to Byron Bay. Leave 6pm and set to arrive 8am 2m - surprsingly ok bus ride - comfy so managed some sleep, even got stuck into Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code.
