Half the state is burning down while the other half is drowning.

When I woke up this morning rain was pelting down over Port Macquarie. I checked the weather radar and figured it may blow over soon. Meanwhile I watched the news and found that the area I had come through yesterday had burned down to a crisp and that the wind gusts had reached over 100 km/hour.
The rain never stopped but just eased a bit.By 12 noon I needed to go and headed off.
Instead of the mountain route it decided to ride north along the coastal highway as I could just imagine what the mountain roads would be like after the yesterday's storm.
The road would be wet and littered with slippery leaves and it would be no pleasure at all to be there.
A few years ago I had bought a similar motorcycle and did a similar trip back from Sydney , even staying at the same hostel in Port Macquarie.
Today, as the rain never eased I was faced with 600km of almost continues rain which soaked me through to the bone and filled up my boots with water.

In order to give you some idea of what there is to be seen along the road I will included the pictures from last trip as my camera was packed away in a thick plastic bag.
By 7.30 pm I arrived home, shivering and very very wet.
