My Backpacking Adventure
Today we got a minibus to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. It's not a large tourist area its quite easy to see and also indicates how developed the country is as the main highway between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh is 80% large dirt track lined with huts made from sticks and mud, though on this trip I have seen poverty not quite to this scale yet. Its not what you would expect on the doorstep of a capital city. In true Richard spirit I still managed to sleep on the bumpy mini bus! We stayed in a place called the lazy gecko Guesthouse, which had a tv with English channels! However it was Independence Day on repeat but fed and tired we will sleep into the morning and explore the city!
