20/12/09 - day 11. got up around half 8, had a tree trek booked for half 9 which is a canopy tour involving 12 zip lines and various height tree platforms that you zip between. there´s 3.5 km worth of lines and it was well fun. you were harnassed in so the danger was safe and it felt a bit like flying! oh and it takes place in a forest. to get up there had to take a big old 4x4 which was on a very scenic route, though INCREDIBLY bumpy and rollercoaster-esque. ...

19/12/09 - day 10. up at 8, ready to be on the move again. shared a taxi with 2 others who were also leaving the hostel for the bus station. got there about 9, taxi driver kindly pointed out which bus i needed to get on for Boquete. got on (without paying or buying a ticket - turns out you pay when you get off) and 10 or so mins later, we set off. was a pretty bumpy bus ride up there and i got very squashed as so many people were on it. mainly kids. i was glad ...
