We had a great time in Cusco either side of the Inca trail and Machu Picchu. Our main activity was relaxing, eating (fuelling up, refuelling after!) and shopping. Cusco also has some great sites and boasts 14 churches!!! something about the Spanish trying to banish the Inca religions!

I also had my haircut which was an amazing experience. we went into a barbors that had guilt frame mirrors everywhere and every piece of floor had a Sweeney Todd barbors chair just to make me feel even more nervous! My communication was fantastic as I am now virtually fluent in Spanish and comprised of bzzzzzzzz 2 holding up my fingers for the grade of haircut I wanted (I am sure that none of you have noticed and that it will be a relevation to you all that I am going bald! I know none of you had noticed- so I had decided to test some options out whilst we are away).

Anyway I was sitting there awaiting the cerimonious haircutting and looked up after about 20 seconds to find that he was nearly finished!!! You can imagine my distress as my lovely locks hit the floor! After this bit came the Sweeney Todd razor, I have never sat so still in all my life, and hey presto I was finished in 2 minutes with the grand cost of 2.50 sols- 50p. Luckily Nicky was on hand with the camera so you can look at the before and after pictures!
