Ecuador is like a breath of fresh air as we are now seeing the colour green for the first time in ages - it happened almost instantly when we crossed the border. We spent a few nights in Rio Verde which was gorgeous. The place where we camped was in a stunning location with hammocks overlooking a river, canyon and lush Amazon mountains with chocolate cake available 24 hours a day. Bliss. We took the opportunity to white-water raft again as we were assured they were grade 4/5. We´re not convinced that they were but it was great fun anyway as the ´dream team´ rafted, span, splashed and paddled through the rapids. We even stood up going through some of them!
