Hello Everyone!!!

We have come to the end of our week in Hong Kong. Trying to get a flight to Phuket in Thailand at the moment, as the airlines think we may be waiting a long time for a flight to Bangkok.

Lantau island has been great. Its been the first place that is not polluted, everyone rides bikes here. We have seen people catch fish and sell them straight away, people lead a very simple way of life here.

Went and saw the big buddha (largest of its kind in the world) and climbed 250 steps to reach it, was shattered when I got to the top and had to wait 15 minutes for Rich hehehe. We also took a walk to the tallest mountain peak on the island down 'wisdom path', got tired half way round and went back lol. Just hope we are ok to do the inca trail at the end!!!

The next day we visted the islands waterfalls and caves. Again alot of uphill climbing was involved but we managed to do it, the walk was established this year for the Olympics. Rich saw a snake whilst we were climbing round the waterfalls, scary stuff. Was going to go in the water but was to cold!!!

The rest of the time we have either been relaxing on the beach or by the pool. Bought a frisbee today which kept us entertained all afternoon. We also did a pub quiz and named ourselves the 'Bangkok Hopefulls' and we did not come last :).
