We started our mammoth journey to Western Australia today. I won't bore you (much) with any details but lets just say Australia is full of nothing for a very long way!! The Nullarbor translated treeless plain is exactly that, although there were occasional glimpses of the ocean as cliffs fell away to our left (if they were on right we'd be going the wrong way) it was mostly desert (no Kate not what you have after your main meal). There were a few photo opportunities, (see albums) mostly of signs though. I did, however, get a slightly sadistic sense of achievement for driving that distance in one day (about 800km).Once in Eucla we dumped the Trailer in the campsite and we drove off road down to the beach to see an old Telegraph station from the Second World War. I found it interesting but hunger struck while we were there so we raced back disturbing the Kangaroos as we passed and gorged ourselves on some well earned chips from the takeaway café on site.
