Ric Flack's Travels
Today was an At Sea day. We at breakfast at Lumiere's and then walked around the Promenade Deck in a vain attempt to work off some of the food that we ate yesterday.
A presentation about Berlin was getting ready to start and we had a little time before our first party of the day so we went. Part way through the presentation, Regan and Kelsie ducked out and then met up with us afterward for the Gold Castaway Club Party.
The party was in Rockin’ Bar D and we were served drinks and hors d’ oeuvres’, fruit and cookies. We saw a little video about the Disney Dream and then Captain John spoke and also the President of Disney Cruise Line, Walter Holz, was onboard and thanked us for our loyalty of the cruise line.
After the party Kelsie went to the Oceaneers Club, Nikki and I went up to deck 9 and Regan took a quick nap.
Regan met Nikki and I at 1:00 for the DVC Member get together. It was as exciting as always. They did however tell us the opening date for The Aulani Resort in Hawaii on August 29, 2011.
After the party Regan wanted to do a little shopping so Nikki went up to the room and Regan and I went to the store.
Nikki and I had High Tea in Palo at 3 so we changed our clothes and went up to eat. The food was awesome. We had sandwiches, scones, desserts and a strawberry trifle.
While we were gone, the girls went to an origami flower class and then for a run around the Promenade Lounge. When they got back, Kelsie decided that it was her turn to go shopping so she and I went while Regan and Nikki got ready for the Formal Night.
The Captain had warned us that it was going to be windy tonight. That wind caused the seas to be a little rough so the ship was rockin and rolling tonight.
Dinner was in Parrot Cay and was the Prince and Princess Menu.
After dinner we had a photo taken with Captain John and then went on to see Andy Ford do a comedy show for families. The girls really enjoyed him in last night’s show so they wanted to go again. He was very funny and we had a great time.
The show tonight was Twice Charmed.
After the show we went out on deck and, although it was 9:30pm, it was bright as mid-day. The sun is supposed to set sometime around 10:11 although it is after that and still light so not sure when it will actually get dark. The sun is supposed to be back up tomorrow morning around 4:05am.
Kelsie went to Ocean Quest and Regan, Nikki and I called it a night.
Dinner:
Ric: Cheese Soufflé, Salad, Vegetarian Lasagne and Bread Pudding
Nikki: Goat Cheese with Roasted Tomato, Salad, Beef Wellington (no dessert)
Regan and Kelsie: Cheese Soufflé. Baked Potato Soup, Chicken wrapped in parma ham and stuffed with mozzarella and Lemon Cheesecake
