Arrive Sihanoukville the other day safely nd although it is nice to be by the coast there is rubbish everywhere. On the beach and in the sea so not really all that appealing to go swimming in that. There are also tonnes of children around who are constantly trying to see you things which makes leaving your bag etc a bit risky. We had one full day there which we went on a very basic boat in order to visit some of the island and do some snorkeling. Within five minutes of us getting in the water someone got stung by jellyfish which made us pretty worried about going in the water futher. We had a bbq on one of the secluded beaches which was fab but so so hot. Water is not actually that clear here but still nice to be able to cool off. This was a full day on a boat which actually kept taking on water and the guys on board had to keep bailing it out. Quite evertaining. We then went to another islands in order to sit in a very chilled bar with a beer or two.

We left there yesterday and crossed the vietnam border which was so much easier than the thai-cambodia one. We also had to have out temperature taken in Vietnam just to check we did not have SARS!!!! Last night we stopped off in Chau Doc and went on a moped up to Sam's mountain to watch the sun set in hammocks..... it was the BEST THING I HAVE DONE ALL TRIP. Thought i would be really nevous but the guides were fantastic and drove really slowly. It was just such a fab time and really made the day after a long hot day. All the locals were smiling and waving as we went by. This is the main form of transport over here and they ever carry babies one handed on them! Crazy.

We are not in Ho Chi Minh City and so far so good. Only had a breif look so far. Seven of the group leave tomorrow with a 4 more joining. We are off to the chi chi tunnels tomorrow which should be interesting which a chance to shoot a gun! Might give that one a miss! We have out first over night train tomorrow which should be interesting.

Just one last point before I go the food out here is amazing - the taste varies so much between area. I have fallen in love with a dish called Beef Lok Lak - it is like a stwe but so much nicer.
