We are now up in the mountains of Costa Rica after spending 5 days at the beach neighbouring a national park. The bus stop Sloths were just the start, we hired a guide to take us round the national park and Hawkeye Hiles was really taught a thing or two by Eagleeye Henry. He could spot an ant moving from 100 metres but made sure we saw loads more wildlife than on our own. All around the park we saw monkeys (Howler, Squirrel and Capuchin), snakes, Iguanas, loads...

Last time we wrote we had just arrived in the Panamanian hills (Boquete) and, as the hip young travellers we are, later learned it was the number 4 retirement desination in the world! Needless to say, we fitted in lovely. It was a relief to have some cooler weather and get a couple of previously unused items from our packs - our sexy fleeces and the mossie net. Both mainly due to us staying in a treehouse by the river with gaps all around the roof. Our journey...

So we left the chaos of Panama City and since then it has been (mostly) peace and tranquility. We stopped for a couple of nights in a beach town called Santa Clara. Lovely beach - or at least we imagine so not in rainy season :) Then into the mountains where 'peace and quiet' doesn't do it justice. So our time in New York has come to an end. Its been a pretty hectic week but i think we can safely say we've covered nearly every square inch. Highlights included - sunset over Manhattan from 'Top of the Rock', the Ball Game and eating Peanut Butter cups in Central Park. The top 5 foods started expanding (as are we) and included Pretzel, Hot Dog (at the Ball game) Pizza '3000 calorie version' and much else. We are also leaving without any Tiffany, Sachs, Macy's ...
