Hello Everyone,

I've had a lovely time here in Surfers paradise. Stayed in 'Sleeping In' which is great! you stay in apertments and there is only a few bunks per room, plus you have a lounge area, a kitchen and bathroon just for the 12 of you! It was homely! It was a nice change from the big hostels of Brisbane! It was just what I needed!

So what did i get up to here???

Not much! Tried to go to the beach but it was way too windy! So within minutes I was a walking piece of sand paper! But its a huge beach with an impressive skyline and loads of people body boarding and kite surfing! Cool!

I had a day at DREAMWORLD! Whoo hoo! This is their theme park, and we all know I love theme parks. So I had a great day, 8 of us went and we all got on well. Half of this is probably due to the massive adrenalin high we were on throughout the whole day! Needless to say we were all very tired by the time we headed home!

The next day I went on a pub crawl organised by our hostel. It was a good night, free entry to 4 clubs, a free drink in each club, plus other little bonuses it was cool. I went with a couple I met in 1770 and they were great fun! I got to bed at 4 ish!

So after hearing lots of mixed opinions of surfers..... I can say it was well worth a visit, but you MUST stay at 'sleeping in'!!!!!
