The bags are packed all the hockey gear is loaded it's all new.
The match marks the start of the new season.
First up The Humbolt Broncos will field a team containing only two players from the past season.
The first match will be against The Nipawin Hawks.
That was to be the last team they played in April.
There is a new coach this season.
They still have past Coach's Darcy Haugan's slogan "It's a great day to be a Bronco gentlemen"
The new coach isn't a local yet even his name Nathan Oystrick is often misquoted.
The Team President Jamie Brockman is in his first season too.
The bronco's Elgar Petersen Arena now has a new addition inside the main doors.
Ryan Straschnitzki, who played for the Bronco's last season is still playing - his new sport is sledge hockey.
Ryan's home town is Airdrie where I too was today.
Ross Gilchrist who played for the Bronco's in 1971,72 & 73 will be at the game on Wednesday with company as he has 220 former Alumni members coming from as far away as Sweden and England to be with him at the game.
The new additions at the Bronco's arena include a hugh cross, the flags from every Province that players came from last April 6.
A giant Hockey stick has inscribed the hashtags
"#BroncosStrong
#PrayersforHumbolt
No they wont be taking a bus to the match that would be too raw as last April 6 their bus was taken out by a semi trailer killing 16 team members, the coach, physio and announcer when they were off to play against the same team they are up against on Wednesday.

Laura Like so many times ....when we hear of a tragedy.. we hear the words ....it registered .. then passes by us .... this reminder brings home the facts of how personal this is to the people left to ponder the loses...... and for how long it resinates through the community ......it is a credit also to their resilience..... and how they regroup to carry on ..
